Why the new footage is attracting attention
On 8 October, VGC and GamesRadar+ reported new clips from the Cyberleek account. VGC describes around 25 minutes of footage, says it has watched it and considers it plausible. The outlet is not publishing the footage. This does not constitute confirmation from Rockstar.
GamesRadar+ also refers to community reports. Both articles may therefore trace back to the same upload. Multiple reports do not necessarily mean the material has undergone several independent checks.
Racing and the workshop: clues about playable systems
VGC describes races and vehicle modifications in a garage. GamesRadar+ mentions racing scenes and a first-person perspective. These reports provide specific clues about possible features, but do not establish their scope in the finished game.
Important questions remain. Which version was recorded? When was the footage captured? Could the features shown be accessed through normal menus? Without those details, it is impossible to reliably establish which options will be available at launch. Even a convincing scene cannot provide a complete picture of the eventual game.
Why a tank appearing is not proof of a cheat
VGC also describes a tank being spawned. The outlet leaves open whether this involved a cheat or a modified build. Without a reproducible input, the scene cannot serve as a cheat guide.
A developer tool could spawn a vehicle without making the same function available to players. With a modified build, it would likewise be unclear whether the action exists in normal gameplay. These are possible explanations, not properties of the footage that we have established. The reported action does not provide a verifiable PS5 or Xbox button combination.
First-person view: an intriguing clue with several interpretations
The reported first-person perspective addresses a question that interests many GTA fans. However, it could mean an interior driving view, an aiming camera or a fully switchable first-person mode. One perspective would not automatically confirm the others. Our separate article on first-person gameplay explores these distinctions and the conflicting clues in more detail.
For historical context, we also consulted Rockstar's GTA 5 announcement: the full first-person mode arrived with the PS4 and Xbox One editions in 2014. Rockstar described new animations and adjusted options at the time. That helps explain why fans hope for a comparable mode, but it does not establish a launch or update plan for GTA 6.

What we know about the finished console release
Rockstar's current product page lists 19 November 2026 as the release date. This official information is our first reference for launch details. The leak reports discussed here do not reliably establish which camera options, cheats or workshop features will be included in the shipped version.
Without an identifiable development stage, technical quality is also difficult to assess. Tests of the released game will be more informative about frame rate and graphics than isolated clips recorded under unknown conditions.
Where things stand and what matters next
We have not verified the origin or content of the footage ourselves. The outlets describe individual scenes, not a complete feature set. When new clues emerge, we therefore check their original source first.
We follow official announcements and further verifiable reporting. For the cheat list, what ultimately matters is whether an input works repeatedly in the retail release. Until then, this article provides context for media reports. Our illustration was created specifically for this story and depicts neither leaked material nor an actual gameplay scene. We deliberately leave out story spoilers.
