THE RECEIPT
What we know.
Puma at the forest water
In the official Rockstar screenshot "Mount Kalaga National Park 05," a large, yellowish-brown cat is visible in the shallow water on the left foreground. Its long tail, feline head, and lithe body shape suggest it is a puma. Several deer-like animals can be seen on the opposite bank.
The cropped image shows a closer look at the big cat from the official photograph. The full image is part of Rockstar's gallery of Mount Kalaga National Park.
Florida panther: Classification and stocking limit
PC Gamer identifies the animal in the image description of its analysis of GTA VI fauna as a Florida panther. This is an understandable identification in the context of the Florida-inspired Leonida. However, Rockstar itself does not name the subspecies in the official gallery title.
The shared image with deer does not yet confirm a specific hunting process, a legendary animal class, or any particular interactions with the player. Such mechanics must be confirmed separately with published gameplay footage or verified in-game evidence.

Is there a puma in GTA 6?
Yes. In the official Rockstar screenshot of Mount Kalaga National Park 05, a large, puma-like predator can be seen in the shallow water on the left foreground. The image is provided directly by Rockstar.
Has Rockstar explicitly confirmed a Florida panther?
The official image shows the big cat, but its gallery title doesn't specify a subspecies. The term "Florida panther" is used by PC Gamer. Therefore, we distinguish the official image from this more precise identification.
Does the picture show pumas hunting deer?
Pumas and deer appear in the same scene. However, a single screenshot does not show a verified hunting sequence and does not confirm any specific player or hunting mechanics.
Community attribution is not official confirmation. A visible object does not automatically prove its usability or final name.
